BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE!

Updated: Feb 13, 2021

“Confidence is the ability to move from thought to action!"

- Mel Robbins -

Applying for roles during the middle of a pandemic where millions are out of work is a challenge for some and has worked in favor of others. Having an updated resume is a great start to building your confidence in this uncertain time. However, many have the skills, qualifications, experience yet doubt if they are good enough.

Starting over after being out of the loop for many years can be intimidating, to say the least. Going for a promotion against other qualified candidates can be discouraging at times. Going into the workforce for the first time can increase anxiety and cause fear. Some question how people with less experience are being hired and not them. The reason could be that these individuals have the confidence that employers are looking for. They may not have all the skills but confident in their ability to do the job and learn.

Employers look for people who can come in and get the job done and who are trainable. This very well may be you but your lack of confidence makes it hard to come across. If you're having a hard time moving along in your career and know you are qualified but not getting the jobs you really want, start with building your confidence and yes that starts with building your resume. Starting today, stop beating yourself up and know that you are good enough and have what it takes!
